Michael Dominguez
Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) has named industry veteran Michael Dominguez as its president and chief executive officer. Dominguez previously served as senior vice president and chief sales officer for MGM Resorts International. Prior to that, he directed sales development for Loews Hotels’ portfolio as vice president of global sales. In both positions, he provided strategic leadership, innovative business development, hands-on sales oversight, and help implement effective sales strategies in the MICE and transient segments. Dominguez will be the fourth chief executive officer in ALHI’s 33-year history.
Shanna Wilson and Katy Smith
The Oklahoma City Convention and Visitors Bureau has named Shanna Wilson director of convention services. She will work directly with meeting planners to enhance services and experiences of events in Oklahoma City. Previously, Wilson served as logistics coordinator at Public Strategies. She also started her own business for image consulting and event management.
The organization has also hired Katy Smith as its new convention sales manager. She will be responsible for promoting the destination as a convention and meeting hotspot in both local and international markets, primarily focused on the SMERF market. Previously, Smith was the strategic sourcing manager at Creative Group, Inc.
Troy Anderson
Visit Seattle has announced the promotion of Troy Anderson to director of sales. Anderson, a Washington native, joined Visit Seattle in 2013 as national account director and came into the position with nearly a decade of experience in the hospitality industry. He previously served as national sales manager for both Treasure Island Resort & Casino and New York-New York Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.
Stephanie Rork
The Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau, the region’s primary destination marketing organization, has hired Stephanie Rork as its new senior sales manager of corporate markets. Rork brings 25 years of hotel industry experience to her role. Most recently, she served as area sales and marketing manager for The Cincinnatian, Curio Collection by Hilton, Homewood Suites, and Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown Cincinnati.
Linda Maurer
Benchmark has named Linda Maurer its global account manager, Southwest — a newly created position to help grow Benchmark’s group sales success in the region. She will also continue her property-based role as associate director of sales for Benchmark’s La Cantera Resort & Spa in San Antonio. Maurer has worked in both association and corporate meetings markets, and previously served as director of national accounts Northeast for Terranea Resort of Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
