Chuck Ryder

Visit Vancouver USA has hired Chuck Ryder as director of business development. Ryder brings more than 10 years of hospitality experience and nearly 30 years of sales experience to the organization. He previously worked as the director of sales for Santa Cruz Seaside Company. In his new role, Ryder will lead the business development and convention services team in its efforts to drive overnight bookings by soliciting group business. He will also work with local hospitality partners to foster relationships with meeting planners and promote Vancouver.

Emily Hixson and Laura Crawford

Louisville Tourism has promoted Emily Hixson to sales coordinator in the convention department. Previously, she served as one of the department’s convention sales assistants. She has been with the organization since October 2018.

Laura Crawford has been appointed as Louisville Tourism’s national sales manager. She brings more than a decade of hospitality industry experience to the organization, and most recently worked as the director of sales and marketing at 21c Museum Hotel.

Colleen Buchanan, Molly Hernandez, and Estelle Rodriguez

Visit San Antonio has announced new destination sales and experience team members. Colleen Buchanan, CMP, CTA, has been named destination sales manager. She joined Visit San Antonio in January 2017 as destination experience manager. In her new role, Buchanan will work with partners at the Henry B. González Convention Center, local hotels, meeting venues, and attractions to coordinate in-market site visits.

Molly Hernandez has been named destination experience manager. Hernandez will act as a liaison between meeting professionals, Visit San Antonio, and local partners. Hernandez previously worked as a venue catering sales manager for the RK Group.

Estelle Rodriguez has been appointed destination experience coordinator. She will manage administrative operations for the destination experience team and help connect meeting professionals with the local hospitality community.
