Simon Foster
Simon Foster, previously CEO of UBM EMEA, has been named CEO of Paris-based Comexposium group, which is involved in organizing more than 170 B2C and B2B events across 11 different sectors — including food, agriculture, fashion, security, digital, construction, high-tech, optics, and transportation — in 26 countries around the world. Foster assumes the role in August, when current CEO Renaud Hamaide transitions to executive chairman.

Alan Humason
Alan Humason has been named executive director of the Mendocino County Tourism Commission. He was most recently executive director of the Yolo County (California) Visitors Bureau.

Karin Salinas
Karin Salinas has been appointed Vice President, Marketing, overseeing communications, marketing and brand strategy for the integrated resort development of Baha Mar, set to open on April 21, 2017. A veteran luxury hospitality marketer, Salinas joins Baha Mar most recently from Rosewood Hotels & Resorts where she served as Regional Director of Sales & Marketing for Rosewood Mexico’s portfolio. Prior to her time at Rosewood, Salinas worked with One&Only Resorts as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the Latin America and Caribbean regions and earlier in her career, held positions with leading hotel brands including Ritz-Carlton properties in Qatar and Chile and the Swissotel Quito in Ecuador.

Michael Larragueta
The Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority (RSCVA) announced the appointment of Michael Larragueta as vice president of sales. Larragueta joins the RSCVA most recently from Silver Legacy, Eldorado, and Circus Circus, where he was executive director of sales, responsible for sales and occupancy of the 4,200-room, multi-property casino-resort development.

Joaquin Quesada
Joaquin Quesada has been named deputy director of the Anaheim Convention Center. Quesada, who started his career as an Anaheim Convention Center busboy, joins as the center prepares to open 200,000 square feet of new, flexible event space in September. In 1997, Quesada was appointed Aramark general manager at the Anaheim Convention Center and continued his Aramark career in various district manager roles, overseeing venues in Anaheim, Los Angeles, San Diego, Washington, Palm Springs, and Las Vegas until 2016.

Kristin Sedlacek
Kristin Sedlacek has been hired as regional manager of sales support at GES. She will work in the company’s Chicago client care center. Sedlacek joins GES from FreemanXP, where she led a team of client solution managers who were focused on pharmaceutical exhibits and sales.
