City Harvest at Washington Heights Mobile Market
December 8 @ 8:15 am– 12:00 pm EST
Volunteer with us to help distribute fresh produce to eligible market-goers at the Washington Heights Mobile Market!
You will help to stock stations with produce boxes and guide clients through the market while maintaining social distancing. Additional tasks may include sorting and repacking food items, breaking down produce boxes, and line management. All food is distributed free of charge.
The Mobile Market take place outdoors, rain or shine. We stress that it’s important to wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothes. As this is a very hands-on activity and there is no secure place to leave your property, it is recommended that you travel light, i.e., personal belongings should be left at home/office or a messenger bag/backpack should be used. All volunteers should wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes to this project. Ballet flats, loafers, sandals, and flip-flops are not permitted.
