David Giger
David Giger will retire from Hilton Worldwide on Oct. 31 after 45 years as a sales contributor. Though he has held many positions at Hilton over the years, he most recently served as senior director of sales & industry relations. Giger began his career at Hilton in his hometown of Pittsburgh before moving to Washington, D.C., in 1981. It was there that he discovered PCMA, as Convening Leaders was held his first week on the job, and he has not missed a meeting since. During his time in the industry, Giger has spent significant time working with PCMA. Giger co-founded the Capital Chapter, the organization’s first and largest chapter, and also co-founded the annual PCMA Education Foundation Visionary Awards in Washington, D.C. Additionally, he has served on a number of PCMA committees in the last three decades. “To me, PCMA strikes at the heart of networking in education and such relative to association meetings, which has been my whole world with Hilton,” Giger said. “I always strived to build relationships with meeting professionals in the association world, and that’s what PCMA is all about.”

Trevor Newman
AEG Facilities, the management company of the Hawaii Convention Center, has promoted Trevor Newman to accounts manager — Hawaii sports and expos. He will be responsible for finding new clients and securing the bookings of sports games and other events. Newman previously served as Hawaii Convention Center’s sales coordinator.

Shannon Perry
Shannon Perry has joined Ontario Convention Center as its new general manager. Perry will oversee the day-to-day operations and lead the management team at the Ontario Convention Center in Ontario, California. Perry brings nearly 18 years of event planning and facility oversight experience to her new position. She previously worked for two national companies, Westwood One Radio Network and SMG Worldwide Venue Management.

Sharon Fuller
Exhibit Partners, a live brand engagement agency, has named Sharon Fuller its new vice president of sales and marketing. Fuller has more than 20 years of experience working with Fortune 500 Companies and marquis brands. Before joining the Exhibit Partners team, she served as senior account director in the technology space.

Maggie Mojica
Maggie Mojica has been named director of sales for The St. Regis New York. She has extensive experience in the luxury hospitality space, as she previously served as director of sales for the New York Hilton Midtown and the Waldorf Astoria New York.

Ruben G. Rodriguez
Sheraton Miami Airport Hotel & Executive Meeting Center has appointed Ruben G. Rodriguez as director of sales and marketing. Rodriguez will be responsible for focusing on business development, planning, and implementing strategic plans to achieve objectives in transient, group, contract, and catering segments. He will also head up marketing efforts led Hersha Hospitality Management team. Rodriguez brings more than a decade of sales leadership experience to his new role.

Tom David
The San Francisco Travel Association has added Tom David to its team as executive vice president/chief sales officer, effective Oct. 16, 2017. In his new role, David will oversee all convention division activities, such as the development and implementation of sales strategies and the optimization of group business. David previously worked at Marriott since 1988, most recently serving as vice president of sales, Marriott Western Mountain Pacific Region.

Lee Conching
Lee Conching has been appointed vice president of Meet Hawaii citywide sales. Conching will be responsible for the oversight and management of all day-to-day operations of the sales department. Conching has been in the hospitality industry for more than 30 years, most recently working as Hawaii Convention Center’s director of sales since 2004.

Amy Angermeier
Visit Mobile has named Amy Angermeier vice president of sales. She most recently worked as a sales executive for Meet Chicago Northwest Convention & Visitors Bureau. She also served as director of sales & marketing pre-opening team for the Embassy Suites Chicago Naperville and the director of sales & marketing for a collection of hotels, including Hilton Chicago, Palmer House, The Drake, Conrad, and Embassy Suites brands in Chicago. In her new role, she will use her convention bureau and lodging sales experience to drive visitors to Mobile, leading the convention sales team toward reaching new goals.
