As we continue to see positive news on case counts, hospital admissions, and an increase in vaccinations, changes in state restrictions will make it easier to bring your group together. Now is the time to think about what that event will look like. In navigating the ability to anticipate the varying degrees of comfort that your attendees will have, offering a hybrid option would allow for greater reach. Join the POWER Chapter for this look at how to begin moving forward with insight from professionals in the virtual and hybrid space.

Learning objectives:

  • Think differently about events to engage a broader audience.
  • Lessen the fear associated with hybrid events.
  • Begin to consider audience expectations and experiences.

Meet our panel:

Rob Kall, Owner, Tailored Virtual

Out of Cleveland, Ohio, Rob Kall is the owner of an event production company as well as Tailored Virtual—a brand focused on creating thoughtful all virtual and hybrid experiences. As a chemistry major, by degree, Rob loves solving problems such as how to break the virtual “wall” or more complicated matters like how to keep others from Zoom bombing your next meeting.

Tammy Port, CMP, CMM, DES, Client Happiness Manager, Pathable

Tammy has extensive experience in both the corporate event planning and third-party event solution arenas. Most recently she has transitioned to supporting virtual events (but she misses traveling and in-person events!).

Ken Sien, Key Account Director, Glisser

Ken is a Key Account Director for Glisser, a hybrid/virtual platform. He has 28 years of extensive meeting planning experience and is very passionate about the fight against human trafficking.

The POWER Chapter is sensitive to our members’ individual situations, and we are offering the option to “pay what you choose” for this program. When registering, you may select from payment options of $10, $20, $30, or no payment. A portion of all registration fees will be designated for a Digital Event Strategist scholarship. Few industries were as disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic as the meetings, events, and hospitality sector. Everyone involved in our industry was either laid off or furloughed or knows someone who was. The POWER chapter is asking you to help us in aiding in the recovery of our industry. Going forward, some of our events will be free to members with the option to donate on a “pay what you choose” model. A portion of all registrations will go towards funding a Digital Events Strategist (DES) scholarship for one of our members. Details on how to apply for this scholarship will be coming later this year. Until then please help us help one of our own.

About the DES program: The Digital Event Strategist certification (DES) is designed to help individuals and organizations develop, plan, produce, and measure the results of their digital engagement practices. Over the course of 6 weeks, the program features 6 classroom hours, and learners invest an average of 7 additional hours in self-paced studying and interacting with experts. The price for this course is typically $745 for members.

Registered attendees will receive the Zoom link via email prior to the program.
