DEBORAH CALDWELL is the Asia Pacific head of Global Events for Bank of America, based in the Hong Kong office. Deborah oversees a team of event planners based in five countries, covering 12 markets across the APAC region. They are responsible for planning and executing a variety of client events and senior leadership meetings, both virtually and in-person, for the bank. In this role Deborah has solidified her reputation as a business controls expert who drive operational excellence by managing stakeholders, governance, risk, and finances to deliver high-profile business events throughout APAC.

Prior to her current role, Deborah was co-Head of Events, EMEA for Nomura International based in London, before being relocated to Hong Kong in 2011 to become Head of Events for Asia ex-Japan. She also held roles at Lehman Brothers in London covering EMEA events and worked for an events agency in Sydney, Australia. Deborah holds bachelor’s degrees in Commerce (Management) and Tourism, both from Otago University in Dunedin, New Zealand.

Within Bank of America, Deborah is Co-Chair of the Hong Kong chapter of the LEAD for Women network and was a mentor in the Cherie Blair Foundation Mentoring Program. Deborah currently sits on the Global Board for PCMA and is a Trustee of the PCMA Foundation, having been a member of the APAC Regional Advisory Board prior to that. Furthermore, Deborah is a Director of Hope Hong Kong, a charity providing support, information, and education in the community for people suffering from infertility and pregnancy loss.
