Learn how to successfully negotiate your next pay raise by using Convene’s Annual Salary Survey results and tips from negotiation experts featured in Convene.

Convene’s Annual Salary Survey, published each June, is far and away PCMA and Convene’s most popular piece of research. It’s not just the data — based on the responses of 400-plus meeting professionals — that attracts meeting planners, it’s the story we are able to tell by reading between the lines. In this webinar, Convene Editor in Chief Michelle Russell, who has been compiling the salary survey data for more than a decade, shares insights and top-line results from the most-recent survey, as well as insights about how meeting professionals view their roles and responsibilities.

Knowing how much your colleagues earn across a number of shared factors, such as geographic location and number of staff supervised, is an important first step in understanding your worth. In addition, it’s key to get a sense of where you stand in comparison to your colleagues when it comes to non-compensation-related perks, such as the flexibility to work from home, and comp days for travel.

And since the survey results once again reveal a significant gender pay gap in the meetings industry, there will be a discussion of salary-negotiation approaches that speak to the way women tend to represent themselves, although the tips will benefit their male counterparts as well.

This is designed to be an interactive webinar, providing participants with the opportunity to ask insightful questions and share their own ideas about how to get well compensated for a job well done.
