This Is Your Opportunity to Honor Some of the Most Important People in the Events Industry

Author: David McMillin

Leadership, vision, innovation. These are the characteristics that earn events industry executives accolades — and rightfully so. We need people at the top who can re-imagine tomorrow’s events. But every event’s success is equally dependent on the work of people on the ground, and those traits aren’t limited to the c-suite. There are many lesser-known professionals who are equally essential to the business events industry. Some of them troubleshoot the technical issues when the microphone malfunctions. Some go to bat for extra room supply for their clients. Some make sure that the special meal request makes it to the right table setting.

At Convene, the editorial team wants to make sure all these behind-the-scenes cast members land starring roles. The magazine launched the nominations for its annual Best in Show awards this week, and it’s an opportunity to say thank you to some of the individuals who have made an impact on your meetings and events. These are the rubber-meets-the-road professionals who have demonstrated leadership, creativity, and true grit in order to make your events shine.

Please take 10 minutes to vote and tell the Convene team about the people who made your life easier and your attendees’ experiences better. Click here to review all the categories. The winners will receive All-Star status in the magazine’s August issue.
