Watson Li
Watson Li has joined NYC & Company’s convention development team as regional director, international MICE, serving the Asia Pacific, Africa, and Middle East regions. In this role, he will drive meetings, incentive, conventions, and exhibitions business to New York City from these areas. Li spent nearly 10 years in sales with Starwood Hotels & Resorts. He previously served as account director for the New York Metro Market, where he was responsible for bringing groups from the Asia Pacific region to Starwood-managed properties in New York City and New Jersey.

Mike Fiber
AlliedPRA has appointed Mike Fiber as chief operating officer. In this role, Fiber will lead all operating businesses across AlliedPRA, including 26 wholly-owned and franchised locations in North America. Before joining AlliedPRA, Fiber worked as vice president of operations for PSAV Presentation Services.

Peter Barton Sr.
Peter Barton Sr. has been promoted to sales manager at the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. An Ireland native, he joined the venue four years ago and has been consistently driving new business to Duke Energy Convention Center ever since.

Jennifer Kingen Kush
Jennifer Kingen Kush, DES, has been promoted to vice president of the Professional Convention Management Association’s [PCMA] Digital Experience Institute. In this role, she ensures the organization delivers the latest research, trends, education, and content to PCMA’s audience of hybrid and digital event producers. She will additionally continue her role as executive director of PCMA’s Digital Experience Institute. Kingen Kush has served as director of experience marketing and director of member relations during her 12 years with PCMA.

Alison Milgram
PCMA has also promoted Alison Milgram, CMP, DES, to director of events. She will oversee the event logistics for PCMA’s events including Convening Leaders and Influencers Summit, in addition to working on securing future PCMA event locations. Milgram joined PCMA in 2014 with a focus on elevating the organization’s food and beverage experiences. She began her career in the business events industry at SmithBucklin Corporation, followed by positions with several Chicago hotels, including the Conrad Chicago.

Ernie A. Arias
Euro Capital Properties, owner of The Watergate Hotel in Washington, D.C., has hired Ernie A. Arias as senior vice president of sales and business development. He will be responsible for The Watergate Hotel’s sales strategy and business development, in addition to managing and expanding the sales force at the property and within Euro Capital Properties’ New York sales team. He previously was area director of sales and marketing at Park Hyatt New York; director of sales and marketing for Park Hyatt Chicago; area director of sales and marketing for Park Hyatt Washington; and area director of sales for Park Hyatt hotels.

Heidi Welker
Freeman Audio Visual Canada has announced that Heidi Welker, senior vice president, business development and industry partnerships, has been elected as the 2018 Chair for Meetings Mean Business Canada (MMBC). Welker brings years of leadership experience to MMBC. She has served as president for the PCMA Canada East Chapter and is on the PCMA Education Foundation Board of Trustees.

Cahal Mowery
VISIT DENVER, the Convention and Visitors Bureau, has named Cahal Mowery as its new director of convention sales. Mowery joins the team from JW Marriott Houston Downtown, where he was director of sales and catering. Mowery will lead the mid-market and Executive Meeting Managers sales efforts. In his new role, Mowery will also be responsible for supporting tactical initiatives to fulfill the sales department’s goals.

Kelly Saling
Visit Seattle has announced the promotion of Kelly Saling to vice president, convention sales. Saling joined the sales team at Visit Seattle in 2009 and became the director of sales beginning in 2014. In her new role, which she started earlier this year, Saling provides strategic direction and leadership for the Visit Seattle convention sales team. She is also responsible for developing long- and short-term marketing and sales strategies.
