Tonya Almond
Tonya Almond, CMP, will be joining PCMA Feb. 26 as vice president of knowledge and experience design. Almond is currently serving on the PCMA Board of Directors and has volunteered extensively for PCMA and the PCMA Education Foundation over the years. She joins PCMA from the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) where she has been since 2009 and serves as the vice president of meetings and continuing education. Prior to AAPD, Tonya was the director, meetings and events services at the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR).

Katie Callahan-Giobbi
Association Forum has appointed Katie Callahan-Giobbi as chief operating officer, effective Feb. 20. Callahan-Giobbi will be responsible for business development, sales, brand experience, marketing and communications, and internal operations. Previously, she was executive vice president at Minding Your Business, a strategic agency.

Courtney Ingersoll
Courtney Ingersoll has been named national sales manager of the Greater Birmingham Convention & Visitors Bureau. In this position, she will be responsible for national corporate sales for large and citywide conventions. Ingersoll most recently served as corporate sales manager for Birmingham’s Hyatt Regency — The Wynfrey Hotel.

Gina Gemberling
The Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau (LRCVB) has named Gina Gemberling as its new vice president of sales and services. In her new role, she will be responsible for overseeing the convention sales and client services teams at LRCVB. Gemberling has 25 years of hospitality experience. She most recently served as executive director of the Springfield, Illinois Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Steve Hill, Cathy Tull, and Ed Finger
As part of an organizational restructuring initiative, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) has made several new appointments. Steve Hill has been named president and chief operating officer. He previously served as executive director of the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development. Cathy Tull has been promoted to the newly created position of chief marketing officer. She has been with LVCVA since 2005, and previously served as senior vice president of marketing. Ed Finger has been promoted from senior vice president of finance to chief financial officer. He first joined LVCVA in 2006 after serving as deputy county manager for Adams County, Colorado, and assistant county manager for Clark County, Nevada.


Jean Spaulding
Jean Spaulding has been appointed as director of sales and marketing for Villas of Grand Cypress, a Gemstone Collection property by BENCHMARK. Spaulding most recently served as director of sales and marketing for the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate. She has also held executive roles with Noble Investment Group, Interstate Hotels and Resorts, Millennium Hotels and Resorts, Starwood Hotels, ITT Sheraton, Westin Hotels and Resorts, and Four Seasons Hotels.

Meryl Levitz
The Board of Directors of VISIT PHILADELPHIA has announced that after 22 years of service, founding president and CEO Meryl Levitz will step down from her position by the end of 2018. A search committee has been created to identify a new chief executive. Until new leadership is discovered, Levitz will continue in her role to ensure a smooth transition.

Rene McCoy
Teneo Hospitality Group has named Rene McCoy as director of sales, Mid-Atlantic. McCoy began her career with Starwood Hotels & Resorts, working at several Westin properties in the Washington, D.C., area. She serves as co-chair on PCMA’s Capital Chapter Emerging Professionals Committee and is an adjunct professor at the School of Hospitality at Prince George’s County Community College.

Mark Crabb
Mark Crabb has been named vice president of convention sales and services for the Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau. He previously served as chief sales officer for Sonoma County Tourism, where he led and managed a nine-person sales team. Prior to his work with Sonoma County Tourism, he served as deputy director of the Lee County Visitor and Convention Bureau in Fort Myers, Florida.
