Brand USA’s President and CEO Fred Dixon will step down effective November 13 and return to NYC Tourism + Conventions as President and CEO. He will continue to lead Brand USA through November 13 before taking up his new leadership position.
Joshua Moore
The Oklahoma City Convention Center and Legends Global have promoted Joshua Moore to director of food & beverage. Moore has been a dedicated member of the company for nearly nine years, beginning his journey in September 2017 at Chesapeake Energy Arena (now the Paycom Center). As director of food & beverage, he will lead service for all conventions, conferences, banquets, trade shows, and other events hosted at the venue.
Veronica Castro
Destination El Paso has named Veronica Castro as executive director of Visit El Paso after her more than two decades of leadership within the city’s tourism industry. She most recently served as director of tourism development & strategic alliances at the DMO. In her new role, Castro will manage the full Visit El Paso team and lead the organization’s efforts to strengthen the city’s visitor economy, elevate its profile, and develop strategic partnerships.
Jamie Murdock
Financial & Insurance Conference Professionals (FICP) has appointed Jamie Murdock as President following a national executive search led by an internal committee in cooperation with the board of directors. He joins the organization from Maritz, where he served as managing vice president of sales and industry presence for a decade. Murdock will begin his role as president on September 22.
