Maria Grasso

The Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB) has promoted Maria Grasso to vice president of citywide sales and convention services, a new customer-focused role. Grasso has been with the PHLCVB for two decades, and previously served as the organization’s senior director of national accounts, where she worked with major corporate groups and national associations. Most recently, Grasso was responsible for securing and executing the 2017 NFL Draft with local, regional, and national partners.

Scott Finlayson

Hargrove has hired Scott Finlayson as the new senior vice president of operations. Finlayson started his career at Disneyland Resort, where he managed operations, stage shows, parades and fireworks, and stage management and talent operations. He later served as director of entertainment operations for Universal Studios Hollywood. Most recently, Finlayson served as chief operating officer for Blue Man Group, where he also served as senior vice president, theatrical productions, and senior general manager, live productions throughout his 10 years with the organization. Finlayson will now lead the company’s four production-related departments.

Jackie Taggart-Boyd

The Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau has expanded its sales staff with the recent hiring of Jackie Taggart-Boyd, who has joined the CVB as national sales manager with the Diversity Sales & Inclusion department. Taggart-Boyd joins the organization with nearly 30 years of experience in the local hospitality industry.

Ashlee Barton

Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino has named Ashlee Barton as its new director of sales and marketing. Barton, who has spent 15 years working in the hospitality industry, previously served as associate director of sales at Hyatt Regency San Francisco. Before transferring to Hyatt, Barton worked as an account director for group sales with Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, where she managed all of the company’s local, corporate, tech, and Northwest clients.

Eric Blanc Sr.

The Orange County Convention Center has announced the appointment of Eric Blanc Sr., CMP, to the position of assistant director of sales. Blanc has more than 25 years of experience in event management and convention center sales, and will use his expertise to oversee the strategic planning and selling of the OCCC as it begins a $605 million North-South Building expansion. Most recently, Blanc served as director of sales, marketing, and convention services at the Tampa Convention Center, where he spent 15 years of his career.
