PCMA began its “ambitious” APAC program with a collaboration that helped extend its reputation for providing high-quality education.

Antonio Codinach, PCMA’s regional business director, APAC, spoke to TTG MICE about the organization’s plans for 2019 and how being AIME’s education partner is a part of PCMA’s effort to expand its reach in APAC.

By focusing on cities and not countries and by reviewing “conversations, and relationships” PCMA has had with APAC industry professionals, PCMA will offer APAC “relevant products and services,” he said.

“We are in full transition of becoming a global platform for the business events industry, but we know we need to provide a lot of local knowledge in what is an extremely diverse region,” he said.

PCMA plans to offer up to 20 Knowledge Exchange programs throughout APAC, small gatherings that focus on one aspect of the business events industry such as event design, risk management or design thinking.
