Cell phones can be another distraction for planners, or any other workers.

Open office layouts, multiple channels of communication — including excessive emails — and the constant stream of social media can add up to a distracted workplace. According to a survey last year by Udemy, more than 70 percent of workers report feeling distracted on the job, with 16 percent saying that they almost always feel unfocused.

Are you among them? Convene is addressing in our upcoming issue the challenge of staying focused on the job when there are so many things — digital and environmental — competing for our attention. We’d love to hear your thoughts. Please take our four-question poll to weigh in.
