JACK OWNS

Jack has been working in the MICE industry for 5 years, starting his career with Fáilte Ireland’s Meet in Ireland team supporting international conferences to come to Ireland. He now works as Sales Manager for Horizons DMC promoting Ireland, the UK and the Nordics as destinations for MICE events to North American planners and agencies.

Outside of work, one of Jack’s biggest passions is mental health awareness advocacy. Drawing from his own research and through sharing his own personal story, he has created a talk for event industry professionals on normalising the conversation surrounding mental health in our industry. He also carried research in the area of carbon offsetting as part of his Masters in Global Business.

More recent accolades include winning ICCA UK and Ireland Millenials competition 2019, being named in PCMA’s 20 in Their Twenties class of 2021, PCMA Next Gen Scholarship 2022, being a Movember Workplace Ambassador and sitting on the PCMA EMEA Advisory board
