Amanda Ferguson
Marketing Edinburgh, the official promotional organization for Edinburgh, Scotland, has appointed Amanda Ferguson as head of business tourism. She will head up the overall strategic development and operational management of Marketing Edinburgh’s business tourism arm, Convention Edinburgh. Ferguson, who brings more than 19 years of experience in U.K. and B2B marketing and events to her new role, previously worked at VisitScotland for 10 years.

Chris Skelding
Chris Skelding joins Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe as director of sales, marketing, and events. Since entering the hospitality industry at age 14, Skelding has held a number of management positions at domestic properties, and previously worked as director of sales at Hyatt Regency Chicago.

Mike Testa
Mike Testa, Visit Sacramento’s current COO, has been named the company’s next president and CEO effective July 1, 2017. Testa will oversee the organization’s role in booking conventions, meetings, and trade shows for the Sacramento Convention Center and local hotels. Testa, who has held various positions at Visit Sacramento since 2001, succeeds Steve Hammond, who is retiring after serving as president and CEO since 1999.

Lauren Rawlins
Kokua Hospitality, an independent hotel management company, has named Lauren Rawlins the director of sales and marketing at the Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, Hawai’i. She will now be responsible for managing all sales, marketing, and tourism relations for the newly opened property, which debuted in January 2017. Rawlins brings 15 years of experience to her role. Before joining the Hyatt team, she spent 10 years working at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide properties in Koloa and Honolulu.
