Into the Mind of an Event Strategist
November 3 @ 11:00 am– 12:00 pm CST
Event Navigation

Most event strategists can point to a decision that changed how an event landed and it usually was not the biggest line item in the budget.
It was the badge that asked a question instead of listing a title. The keynote slot given to an attendee instead of an executive. The 90 minutes intentionally left open.
In Into the Mind of an Event Strategist, experienced practitioners will each present one decision from their own work. Not a full case study, but a specific choice, the thinking that led to it, and what they observed as a result.
Facilitator Devon Montgomery Pasha, CMP, CED, will draw out how strategic thinking enters the design process and what it looks like to apply that thinking on purpose.
What you’ll learn
By the end of this webinar, you will be able to:
- Distinguish a deliberate design choice from an inherited default
- Recognize how small decisions can create outsized effects on attendee behavior
- Identify which decisions in your own program carry the most strategic weight
- Explain design intent to stakeholders who are focused on logistics and execution
Session format
The program will feature short presentations from event strategists, followed by a facilitated panel conversation and audience Q&A. Each practitioner will focus on one decision: the context, the reasoning, and the result.
