Growing revenues at the heart of PCMA’s upcoming Knowledge Exchange

Exploring innovative ways to grow revenue beyond traditional sponsorship models will be the focus of PCMA’s Knowledge Exchange in London. The programme, sponsored by visit.brussels, is designed for senior association professionals and will take place at the QEII Centre in Westminster, London on 25th October 2018.

Sven Bossu, Head of Innovation, ESTRO (European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology) and Tash Joyner, Congress Manager, WCPT (World Confederation for Physical Therapy), will discuss how brand experiences are changing the landscape of traditional sponsorships. During this discussion, participants will learn about innovative ways to evolve outdated revenue models and the benefits and possible outcomes of exploring creative sponsorship ideas and developing experiential assets that tell a brand’s story and further engage key audiences and stakeholders.

Luca Favetta, PCMA Regional Business Director, EMEA, said: “We are looking forward for Business Events Strategists in the U.K. to join us for this collaborative discussion, aimed to inspire our industry to fearlessly take risks in order to drive positive change and achieve organisational growth and success. As well as mediating Tash and Sven’s session, I will bring attendees clear examples from PCMA’s 2018 Convening Leaders conference in Nashville, Tennessee, when our association found innovative ways to enhance participant experiences and generate revenue.”

The event is part of the wider The Business of Events (TBOE) programme, which will include the first ever Parliamentary Debate, hosted by the All Party Parliamentary Group for the Events Industry, and the annual TBOE Senior Leadership Forum.

Elisabeth Van Ingelgem, Director Convention & Association Bureau, visit.brussels, said : ’’As leader in terms of international associations based in Brussels, it comes naturally for our region to promote networking and education initiatives in association management. Indeed, our role is not only to coordinate activities and initiatives in Brussels but also to connect with and support associations based abroad, through the European Association Summit we organise each year in Brussels or events with partners like PCMA in London.”

PCMA Knowledge Exchanges are local education and networking programmes featuring business event case studies that spark new ideas, connections and valuable takeaways for participating organisations.
