Garet Turner
ASAE has appointed Garet Turner, CMP, as vice president of development. Turner, a 15-year industry veteran, will be responsible for leading development efforts for the ASAE Foundation, including the growing annual fund and Leadership Society. Previously, Turner worked as director of corporate relations for the Council from Advance and Support of Education (CASE).

Heidi Welker
Freeman Audio Visual Canada has promoted Heidi Welker to senior vice president, business development & industry partnerships. Welker, who has more than 35 years of industry experience, will lead the development of cutting-edge research and initiatives. She will also continue her current roles on the PCMA Foundation Board of Trustees, the Meetings Mean Business Board of Directors, and the 2017 CanSPEP’s Partner Advisory Board.

Brice O’Keeffe
Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has appointed Brice O’Keeffe as director of sales and marketing at Kimpton Hotel Monaco Washington, D.C. O’Keeffe brings more than 20 years of hospitality experience to his new role, where he will be leading the hotel’s sales team with particular emphasis on the association market.

Heather M. Nash
Heather M. Nash, CMP, CAE, has been hired by the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) as chief strategy officer. She leaves her position as vice president, business operations, American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST) on Aug. 1, and will join ENA on Aug. 14.

Tim Orciuch
Convention Data Services (CDS) has promoted Tim Orciuch to the role of account executive in the sales department. In his new position, Orciuch will use his 15 years of experience in the industry to manage a portfolio of association and for-profit client accounts. He began his career with CDS as an onsite services manager. For the past five years, he has served as the company’s onsite operations manager.

Erica Hegarty
Pacific World has promoted Erica Hegarty to regional vice president for South East Asia for the incentive conference and event society Asia Pacific (ICESAP). She will also serve on Pacific World’s advisory board. Hegarty previously worked as head of sales for the company.

Susan Krys
Susan Krys will lead the tradeshows and marketing department for Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS). Krys joins the PLASTICS team with more than 25 years of association and trade show experience. Most recently, she served as vice president of program development at the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering. Her experience in event management has also covered the food marketing and sports marketing industries.

Kristen Childers
The Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) has appointed Kristen Childers as sales manager, domestic tourism. She will focus on domestic tourism and small meetings for groups using 10-50 rooms per night. Childers will service, sell, and market Atlanta as a group travel destination. Previously, Childers worked as a marketing specialist for ACVB.

John Washko
John Washko has been named vice president of exhibitions and conventions sales for Mohegan Sun. He previously held executive roles with Atlantis in Paradise Island, Bahamas, and The Broadmoor in Colorado. In his new role, Washko will be involved with the sales and direction of the Mohegan Sun Expo Center, which is currently under construction.
