Susan Krys
Susan Krys will lead the tradeshows and marketing department for Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS). Krys joins the PLASTICS team with more than 25 years of association and trade show experience. Most recently, she served as vice president of program development at the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering. Her experience in event management has also covered the food marketing and sports marketing industries.

Kristen Childers
The Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) has appointed Kristen Childers as sales manager, domestic tourism. She will focus on domestic tourism and small meetings for groups using 10-50 rooms per night. Childers will service, sell, and market Atlanta as a group travel destination. Previously, Childers worked as a marketing specialist for ACVB.

John Washko
John Washko has been named vice president of exhibitions and conventions sales for Mohegan Sun. He previously held executive roles with Atlantis in Paradise Island, Bahamas, and The Broadmoor in Colorado. In his new role, Washko will be involved with the sales and direction of the Mohegan Sun Expo Center, which is currently under construction.

Jeff Simic and John Browarsky
Cincinnati has added two new players to its team. Jeff Simic has been appointed as national sales manager, where he will focus on meetings involving business trade associations, engineering, science, the environment, and the medical and pharmaceutical industries. John Browarsky has been named director of convention strategy. Browarsky will work with Cincinnati hotels and convention facilities to enhance room-night production of group business.

Shaun Tracy
The Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority (RSCVA) has announced Shaun Tracy as the first Reno Tahoe representative in its Atlanta satellite office. Tracy will be responsible for creating new meetings and conventions customers in the southeast region of the United States.

John Alcure
SmartSource Computer & Audio Visual Rentals has named John Alcure its new director sales. Alcure, who will be working out of the company’s Chicago office, brings more than 25 years of sales management experience to the role. He most recently served as vice president — strategic accounts with PSAV Presentation Services.
