Schwab has more than 25 years of experience as a sales and marketing professional, and most recently worked as group sales manager for Visit Vail Valley.
IBTM, part of global exhibition organizer Reed Travel Exhibitions, has named Shane Hannam portfolio director effective June 1. Hannam started his career with Reed Exhibitions and has more than 16 years of experience in the international events industry. Most recently, he served as sales director — key accounts for the organization.
Penni Barton has joined Dallas Market Center as executive vice president, marketing. Barton will oversee branding and brand marketing, communications, advertising, events, and publishing. Throughout her career, Barton has worked with Pizza Hut, Dr. Pepper/Snapple, FedEx/Kinko’s, Proctor & Gamble, Honda, and more. She most recently served as vice president, client partner for Motista, a San Francisco-based predictive intelligence firm.
Catch Des Moines has appointed Ben Handfelt as the vice president of marketing. In this position, he will part of the team responsible for guiding the strategic direction of the Catch Des Moines brand, including all aspects of public relations, advertising, content strategy, and marketing support for leisure travel, conventions, sports, and events. Handfelt previously served as director of media relations for Strategic America.
