PCMA-ICESAP announces new appointments in APAC as it enlarges its presence in the region’s business events industry


PCMA-ICESAP (Professional Convention Management Association – Incentive Conference & Event Society Asia-Pacific) announced today that it has appointed Antonio Codinach as Regional Business Director-APAC to replace the outgoing Nigel Gaunt.

Antonio Codinach joins PCMA-ICESAP this summer from Cegos Asia Pacific.  Codinach said: “I’m very excited by the opportunities that PCMA-ICESAP has here in the region. As the leading global provider of business event education, there’s a real sense of momentum and PCMA’s presence is growing fast throughout APAC.”

PCMA-ICESAP also welcomes Patricia Cheong as Associate Director for Development. She will work alongside Antonio and support the region by forging new brand partnerships with leading business events organisations. Her expertise in the conferences and events industry, especially in her previous role as General Manager at Sphere Exhibits, will accelerate PCMA’s regional growth opportunities.

Alongside the new appointments, the association has outlined plans for its annual conference later in the year and its participation in the Singapore MICE Forum in the summer.

PCMA-ICESAP will be a strategic partner of SACEOS as it hosts the Singapore MICE Forum (SMF) on 24-25 July at the Victoria Theatre in the city. PCMA-ICESAP will livestream two SMF sessions on 24th July, with the Korea Tourism Organisation supporting this learning initiative.  Complimentary registration for this online broadcast will open on 26 June.

Later in the year, PCMA- ICESAP will host its Annual Conference in Bangkok, Thailand in partnership with Accor Hotels and Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau. The conference will take place 07-09 November 2018 at the Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit and its theme will be Interaction with Intention. This networking and education program is designed to deliver an empowering experience for participants to elevate their performance, strengthen their community and make each moment count at their next event.
