Industry Celebration to Highlight Importance of ‘Better Together’

WASHINGTON, D.C.Destinations International and PCMA today announced registration is open for Destination Celebration on October 6, 2021, at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland from 6:30pm – 8:30pm. The former Destination Showcase event has been transformed into an evening reception to celebrate what we all know to be true – we are better together.

“We know that nothing truly replaces face-to-face meetings,” said Don Welsh, president and CEO of Destinations International. “We look forward to bringing together PCMA and Destinations International members to safely celebrate the power business events bring to communities around the world.”

“This is our time, and we are ready because we are more than an industry – we are a movement,” said Sherrif Karamat, CAE PCMA president and CEO. “We are in the business of bringing people together – convening with purpose to deliver the human connections that help enrich community quality of life, advancing industries and social change.”

PCMA and Destinations International continue to monitor the changing landscape involving the CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19 safety protocols for Destination Celebration along with our partners at Gaylord National Resort.

Destinations International and PCMA entered into a joint venture for Destination Showcase in 2019 and hosted the 2020 event in Washington, D.C. The event connects business event strategists with destination organizations so they can better understand how these organizations are the key to making meetings and events successful.
