Kitmun Fung
Dream Hotel Group has appointed Kitmun Fung as vice president of development, Asia Pacific. Fung, based in Singapore, will oversee the development of new projects and will source new deals in the Asia Pacific region for Dream Hotel Group and its portfolio of lifestyle brands: Dream Hotels, Time Hotels, The Chatwal, and Unscripted Hotels. Fung has nearly a decade of experience working in financial services, and another decade of hospitality experience. Fung most recently served as director of development, Greater China, at Hilton Worldwide.

Gabriel E. Martinez
Gabriel E. Martinez has joined the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau’s (GFLCVB) sales team as the new senior manager of international tourism sales. In this role, Martinez will oversee the development of the international market. Most recently, Martinez served as senior manager of international sales and marketing at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment.

Greg O’Dell
On Sept. 25, the National Capital Area Council, Boy Scouts of America awarded Greg O’Dell, Events DC president and chief executive officer, with the Hospitality Good Scout Award at their 3rd Annual Gala. O’Dell, whose older brother served as a Boy Scout, has been inspired his entire life by the Scout Law, which encourages Scouts to be trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent. When O’Dell spoke at the event, he noted that such qualities are the ones he embraces and commits himself to in his personal and professional life.

Brad Jones
Visit Bellevue Washington has named Brad Jones its executive director. In this new role, Jones will oversee the organization and its promotion of the city’s growing travel, tourism, and hospitality industries. Jones has 23 years of experience in destination marketing, travel, tourism, and hospitality. For the past 13 years, Jones served as executive director of Experience Rochester.

Debbie Evans
Reed Exhibitions (RX) has appointed Debbie Evans as president of RX US. Evans previously served as president of RX South East Asia and Australia. Prior to that position, Evans worked as managing director of Reed’s Australian business, which she grew via launch and acquisition, and was responsible for leading innovations.

Sheila Provenzano
VISIT DENVER, the convention and visitors bureau, has named Sheila Provenzano as sales director, Midwest region, for its Chicago office. Provenzano, who brings 13 years of hospitality sales experience to her new position, most recently worked for Visit Baltimore, where she served as regional director of sales, handling citywide accounts for the Midwest.

Dennis Callahan 
Dennis Callahan has joined the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA) as deputy director, effective immediately. Callahan has served in MCCA’s legal department for nearly 20 years, most recently serving as general counsel.

Michael Hurt
Miami Beach Convention Center has hired Michael Hurt as its assistant general manager. Hurt will be responsible for planning, directing, and managing the day-to-day operations of the Miami Beach Convention Center, and will oversee areas such as administration, finance, event services, operations, human resources, public safety, production, and facility maintenance. Previously, Hurt served in leadership positions at American Airlines Arena and Marlins Park.

Mark Temple-Smith
Following the combination of Informa and UBM, Mark Temple-Smith has been named managing director for Informa’s Fashion Exhibitions business. Temple-Smith has more than two decades of experience in the exhibitions market, and most recently served as commercial director for Informa Exhibitions. In his new role, Temple-Smith will oversee a three-year plan to bring new investments to the Fashion brands and show experience, as well as enhancements in areas such as marketing, content, digital, and customer service.
