Kitmun Fung
Dream Hotel Group has appointed Kitmun Fung as vice president of development, Asia Pacific. Fung, based in Singapore, will oversee the development of new projects and will source new deals in the Asia Pacific region for Dream Hotel Group and its portfolio of lifestyle brands: Dream Hotels, Time Hotels, The Chatwal, and Unscripted Hotels. Fung has nearly a decade of experience working in financial services, and another decade of hospitality experience. Fung most recently served as director of development, Greater China, at Hilton Worldwide.

Gabriel E. Martinez
Gabriel E. Martinez has joined the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau’s (GFLCVB) sales team as the new senior manager of international tourism sales. In this role, Martinez will oversee the development of the international market. Most recently, Martinez served as senior manager of international sales and marketing at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment.

Josh Hoce and Laura Gonzalez Pena
Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront hotel has added two new members two its sales team: Josh Hoce has been named associate director of sales, and Laura Gonzalez Pena has been named meeting connections/business travel sales manager. Hoce joins the team with more than a decade of industry experience in the Jacksonville market. In addition to helping lead the sales team, he will also manage large groups in specialty markets, such as religious, fraternal, and professional sports. Gonzalez Pena transferred to Jacksonville from Hyatt Regency Orlando, where she served as the business and leisure travel coordinator.

Greg O’Dell
On Sept. 25, the National Capital Area Council, Boy Scouts of America awarded Greg O’Dell, Events DC president and chief executive officer, with the Hospitality Good Scout Award at their 3rd Annual Gala. O’Dell, whose older brother served as a Boy Scout, has been inspired his entire life by the Scout Law, which encourages Scouts to be trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent. When O’Dell spoke at the event, he noted that such qualities are the ones he embraces and commits himself to in his personal and professional life.
