Carol Motley
The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) has appointed Carol Motley as the next senior vice president of convention sales and services. In her new role, Motley will be responsible for driving occupancy and attendance for conventions, trade shows, and meetings in Greater Miami and Miami Beach. She will work with meeting planners and executives to generate leads, bookings, and room nights. Motley is relocating to Miami from Washington, D.C., where she previously served as director of convention sales at Destination DC.
Tamara Jones
Choose Chicago has announced that Tamara Jones has been promoted to the role of senior director, conventions and trade show sales. Jones represents and sells Chicago’s convention citywide packages with a focus on large-scale medical, sports, and other key association meetings at McCormick Place. She will also be leading the for-profit trade show sales efforts in her diversified portfolio. Jones, who has more than 25 years of experience in hospitality sales, has been with Choose Chicago since 2015.
Scott White
Teneo Hospitality Group has appointed Scott White as director of sales. As part of Teneo’s Washington, D.C., office, White will support the company’s efforts to serve the association and corporate meetings market in the mid-Atlantic region. He will also help Teneo expand its initiatives to grow these markets nationally and globally. White, who has more than 30 years of experience in the industry, most recently served as director of global sales at PRA, Inc.
Megan Cacace
Civil rights attorney Megan Cacace has joined Airbnb as director of anti-discrimination policy and equity programs. She will oversee the team responsible for overseeing research, supporting the development of inclusive products, and driving policies that fight bias and discrimination on Airbnb’s platform.
