Kathy Halpern
Palace Resorts has promoted Kathy Halpern to vice president of global marketing. She will oversee all digital, branding, and marketing efforts. Halpern has been with Palace Resorts for seven years, most recently serving as vice president of marketing. Halpern brings more than two decades of experience in both hotel and tour operator sales and marketing to her role.
Donna Esparza
Donna Esparza has been named director of sales and marketing at Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa. She previously served as director of sales and marketing for Marriott Hotels – Riverside, California, where she led her team to significantly exceed sales goals in 2018. Esparza’s career has included leadership positions in sales, including regional positions, as well as within public relations.
PCMA
Vanessa Velasquez
Vanessa Velasquez has been named account manager at PCMA, effective June 24. Previously, Velasquez worked on Visit Orlando’s convention services team, where she supported and serviced events and groups of all sizes coming into the destination. Velasquez will manage accounts in the Mid-Central and EMEA regions.
Amanda Kurtz
Amanda Kurtz will join PCMA as an event manager, effective June 17. Kurtz previously worked as an event manager for Hilton Worldwide, where she served at both Hilton O’Hare and the Drake Hotel. In her new position, Kurtz will oversee registration and housing, as well as other logistical tasks, for select PCMA events.
