Kayla Kesterson

The Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau (LRCVB) has announced that Kayla Kesterson has been promoted from sales manager to sales director, assigned to agriculture corporate and agriculture sssociation accounts. She will also continue to work with hobby and fraternal clients. Kesterson joined LRCVB in October 2018 and previously served as director of communications, workforce development and special events, for the Arkansas Hospitality Association.

Ruth Gorriz

MCI Group Canada Ltd., a branch of MCI Group, has promoted Ruth Gorriz, CMP, HMCC, to the role of senior sales planning and product buyer. She will be based in the Toronto office. Gorriz has more than a decade of international and domestic experience in all stages of the event planning process, including initial concept and strategy development, design proposals and bidding, program logistics, and on-site management and execution. Originally from Spain, Gorriz has a trilingual background and has experience in the finance sector, with experience in the corporate and agency side of the events industry in both Europe and America.

Casandra Matej

Casandra Matej, president and CEO of Visit San Antonio, was honored with the Hope Award on June 4 when the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce held its annual Tribute to Women Business Leaders Awards. The Hope Award recognizes a woman who has given back through public service for the greater good of the city. Matej, who also serves as secretary for the board of directors of the U.S. Travel Association, has led Visit San Antonio for eight years. Under Matej, the organization has achieved record highs in convention sales, media coverage, and traffic to its website.
