Nooch Homrossukhon Sees a Disconnect

As the director of meetings and incentives at the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), Nooch Homrossukhon often travels to China and India, and attends key industry trade shows in Europe.

Conducting business on the road can be tough, says Homrossukhon, especially when a reliable Wi-Fi connection is hard to find.

“Having access to secured and stable connectivity can be a real challenge in some countries,” she said. “In today’s competitive marketplace, I have to ensure that Thailand responds to business opportunities efficiently.”

Homrossukhon has another travel complaint: Hotels could do more to improve the check-in experience for business travellers.

“It would really help if hotels could be more flexible with check-in and check-out times,” she said. “Hotels should also leverage technology to engage guests prior to arrival. The standard check-in process is predictable and if reception staff don’t make a stronger effort to engage guests on arrival, receptionists would soon be replaced by AI-powered robots… in fact, it’s already happening in some countries.”
