Eventbrite Partners With Instagram

Fans and potential attendees who visit events’ Instagram page will now be able to buy tickets without leaving the app, thanks to the new Eventbrite partnership.

Event-management and ticketing company Eventbrite has partnered with Facebook’s photo- and video-sharing social-networking service, Instagram.

Event organisers will now be able to add a ‘Get Tickets’ button to the profile page of their Instagram business account, which Eventbrite said will streamline ticket purchasing as well as drive direct action from the social feed. According to Eventbrite’s press release, the distribution partnership will make it easier for potential buyers to not only learn more about the shows and events event producers are offering, “but to act on their interest by buying tickets.”

The new ‘Get Tickets’ button is available to 25 million entrepreneurs and brands that have business profiles, which are seen by the 200 million daily active Instragrammers who visit brand profiles.

Eighty per cent of Instagram business profiles exist outside of the U.S, the release stated “and we’re very proud to launch this integration ‘global-first,’ making it available in all the markets we operate in, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Europe and New Zealand.”

The three-day Life is Beautiful festival in Las Vegas (Sept. 21–23) has already put the new Eventbrite integration into use, according to an article in Billboard. “Life is Beautiful has a highly engaged and enthusiastic community on Instagram,” the festival’s CEO Justin Weniger told Billboard. “It has long been one of the most powerful channels for us to reach fans. The Eventbrite integration with Instagram has proved to help deliver an even better ticket buying experience.”

Just last month, Eventbrite acquired Ticketea, one of Spain’s leading ticking providers, to expand its presence in Continental Europe.
