Leveraging Your Relationships

April 17, 2023 @ 1:45 pm6:30 pm EDT

We hope you join us on Monday, April 17 as we discuss how you can leverage and grow your relationships in 2023.

Many of our long-time contacts have changed as college graduates have joined the industry, people have taken on new roles, and long-time veterans have left the industry.

The PCMA Capital Chapter April Sparkler will focus on engaging your internal team, including your remote office and multi-generational staff, and building new and stronger relationships with suppliers and vendors moving forward.

The event will be from 1:45 pm – 6:30 pm at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Conference Center, 2000 Florida Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20009.

Agenda:

Multi-Generational Workforce: Framing the Industry to Flourish

3:15 pm – 4:00 pm

Join our panelists as we discuss communication and the skill sets needed to be successful in an ever-changing workforce. It’s crucial that people in cross-generational workplaces understand the best way to communicate with each other. Learning how to communicate in multiple styles will equip you with knowledge, tools, and techniques to successfully work with people from all generations.

Learning Objectives:
• Increase your awareness and respect of generational differences in the workplace.
• Acknowledge how age diversity benefits the workplace.
• Understand the similarities and differences in generations.
• Identify and provide solutions of cross-generational conflict and how to manage them.

Life After the Pandemic: Relearning What Suppliers Want You To Know

4:15 pm – 5:00 pm

Change is everywhere. We’re all going through team, structure, and resource changes. Let’s hear from our supplier partners on how we navigate our external relationships as suppliers are also juggling their challenges, like team members new to the industry, losing their “go-to” contacts, being stretched thin over new territories, and more.

Engage with us for this frank, “lay it all out there” talk that’ll take us beyond the guidance of “just be open, transparent, and early with your communication” and into what we can do to solidify and help to rebuild and establish new relationships.
