BAMID (Bay Area Meetings Industry Day) 2026

This year, PCMA Northern California Chapter is coming together with Society for Sustainable Events (SFSE) in support of Earth Day and SF Climate Week.  Our industry has influence. Our gatherings have impact. And when we align around collective action, we can move the needle. Together with fellow Northern California association chapters, enjoy a reception and lunch with Bay Area Who’s Who and celebrate a PCMA Pillar Award honoree, while we focus on something bigger than ourselves.

Jody Brandes CMM, CTSM, CMP-Fellow, HMCC, was selected for the 2026 PCMA Northern California Chapter Pillar Award in recognition of her exceptional leadership, deep industry expertise, and lasting impact on the meetings profession. Across more than 28 years in hospitality and over 20 years in the pharmaceutical meetings space, she has built a reputation for strategic excellence, operational rigor, and a genuine commitment to elevating the industry. In her leadership role at Gilead Sciences, and through her broader contributions as a CMP-Fellow, educator, and sustainability advocate, Jody has consistently pushed meetings forward with purpose, helping shape experiences that are not only effective, but more responsible and meaningful. Her work with the Society for Sustainable Events, including development of practical tools for smarter event decision-making, reflects the kind of influence that extends well beyond her own programs and benefits the industry as a whole. She represents the very best of what this chapter stands for: professionalism, innovation, service, and the kind of leadership that leaves a real mark.
