Tell me a little bit about your work.
I am a marketing consultant who uses events as a marketing tool.

What prompted you to pursue the DES certification?
I enjoy staying up to date on the latest trends and wanted to be a part of a new program. I have been looking at virtual events for several years and their impact on events and society. This was a natural fit for me.

How specifically are you using digital and hybrid events at your organization?
For the most part, my clients use webinars as a communication, education, and marketing tool. I have a few who are exploring livestream and we have experimented quite a bit with Facebook Live.

What is the future for digital events?
It’s constantly evolving. We need to start thinking of them as “events” and digital is just a component — like food and beverage. It will be fluid, but we’ll see both seamless experiences as well as technology-free programs
