Don’t think an event in the country’s third largest city is within your budget? Think again.
In Chicago, you not only get access to world-class venues, it’s also one of the most affordable big cities to do business in. When it comes to meetings and events, this sought-after destination is where you’ll find the lowest average daily rate (ADR) for hotel stays in a major urban area, with an average ADR of $176.46 in 2018. And people are taking notice.
According to Choose Chicago, a nonprofit tourism organization, more than half of the meetings and conventions held there in 2018 saw record-breaking attendance for either the event itself or for the exhibitor space. From food festivals such as Taste of Chicago to the entrepreneur-focused Small Business Expo, attendees are flocking to the city at an increasing rate. So, in addition to being affordable, what’s the draw?
Thanks to its unique collection of 77 vibrant neighborhoods, there is a little something for everyone here.
