Banff and Brews
Just about an hour-and-a-half’s drive from downtown Calgary sits Banff, a vibrant mountain town in the middle of the beautiful Banff National Park. In the winter, Lake Louise Ski Resort features world-class slopes perfect for skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels. Into the Badlands
What exactly are the Canadian Badlands? Think sprawling grassy fields; towering, ochre-colored rock formations; winding rivers; endless skies filled with stars and—wait for it—dinosaurs. That’s right. At Dinosaur Provincial Park, located about two-and-a-half hours from Calgary, your group can hike to real fossil dig sites in one of the world’s most bone-rich destinations.
Down the River
If your team would rather hit the water, kayaking down the Red Deer River provides a whole different perspective. Red Deer River Adventures, based one-and-a-half hours outside Calgary in Drumheller, offers guided tours that will give your group a chance to take in the unique landscape of the Badlands at a slower pace. They’ll cruise by fossil sites, ancient rock structures and even the model T-Rex known as the “World’s Largest Dinosaur.”
