The National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) embraced the full spirit of New Orleans at its 2017 Convention & Expo, staging a 100th-anniversary celebration that took over Mardis Gras World for an evening. NADA went all out, spending $2.5 million for a party that included marching bands, stilt walkers, fireworks, six stages with live music, and cuisine from 10 local restaurants — against a backdrop of the amazing floats that Mardis Gras World builds for New Orleans’ famous Mardi Gras parade.

About 5,000 people attended NADA’s birth-day bash. “We thought that Mardis Gras World definitely gave us that wow impression,” said J. Melissa Wolpert, CMP, director of convention services and operations for NADA. “And among our attendees, everyone left feeling satisfied and exhausted an d. partied out, which is what we were looking for.”
