Amanda is the Senior Manager, Meetings and Conventions with the American Academy of Dermatology. One of her primary responsibilities in this role is contracting and managing the room blocks for AAD’s two largest meetings. One is a city-wide meeting with over 18,000 attendees and the other a 2,000 attendee event with typically 1-3 hotels in the room block. Over her 18 years with the AAD she has meticulously tracked the pick-up and booking behaviors of the AAD attendees. She has used this information to work with hotel and CVB partners to contract smarter room blocks for each stakeholder.
