Organizers hosting events at Rosen Centre in Orlando, Florida, now have more unique dining options when it comes to satisfying attendees. The hotel recently brought on a new executive pastry chef, Food Network star Alon Gontowski, who is creating custom desserts for visiting groups as well as for the onsite Everglades Restaurant. Plus, Rosen Centre can create unique, tailored experiences for groups, similar to its new Sip & Savor Series, which includes food and spirits pairings at Harry’s Poolside Bar & Grill.

“At Harry’s Sip & Savor, you’ll be enjoying everything you loved about our previous events, with the additional pairings of spirits and cocktails,” said Priscilla Malave, manager at Harry’s. “You’ll have the opportunity to bring ideas home and enjoy limited creations.”

Groups visiting Rosen Centre can create Sip & Savor style experiences for their attendees at private events that can include specialty drinks, from local craft beers to artisanal cocktails, paired with a curated menu by Head Chef Tello Luna, featuring his upscale and authentic Caribbean-Cuban inspired cuisine. Luna’s inventive culinary prowess inspired the hotel’s tasting events, which included a Brewmasters series showcasing local beer.

In addition to the tasting series, Rosen Centre offers the two onsite pre-themed restaurants Everglades and Harry’s Poolside Bar & Grill, saving planners time and money. Everglades is uniquely Floridian, with Head Chef Fred Vlachos, an Orlando magazine Culinary Hall of Fame inductee, crafting dishes out of fresh and local seafood, meats, and produce. Harry’s is tropical themed and serves island-inspired flavors in an al fresco atmosphere.

Event organizers have even more options for unique food experiences with Gontowski joining Luna and Vlachos and the rest of Rosen Centre’s talented team.

The chefs can create custom dining experiences for groups of all sizes — from restaurant buyouts to large groups utilizing the property’s 150,000-square-feet of meeting space.

Rosen Centre’s culinary team is under the direction of the property’s award-winning Executive Chef Michael Rumplik, who said: “We’re excited for the opportunity to showcase the many talents of our entire team to the delight of meeting planners and their attendees. As we continue to expand and enhance our already spectacular team, guests will enjoy many sweet memories.”

Gontowski plans to tailor his old-school-meets-contemporary techniques to each group that hosts an event at Rosen Centre. “The greatest joy of my profession comes from catering to our guests’ expectations,” he said. “There’s nothing like the pride of seeing their reactions to our desserts.”

From the property’s new executive pastry chef to timely and inventive events, like the new Sip & Savor Series, Rosen Centre continues to enhance its dining offerings and grow its talented culinary team in order to bring meeting planners’ dreams to life.
