Thinking of hosting an event in the southwest? You can’t do much better than the Phoenix Convention Center. As Arizona’s premier venue, the PCC offers more than a million square feet of flexible meeting and event space, the largest ballroom in the state, unrivaled customer service and forward-thinking technology.
But it’s what your attendees will experience in between events that will really make for a memorable time.
A vibrant downtown location
“If you haven’t been to downtown Phoenix in a while, be prepared to experience something new and exciting,” says Jerry Harper, director, Phoenix Convention Center & Venues. “Not only is our skyline dramatically different, but the energy and vibrancy rival other big cities in the country. And with so much happening right here—a thriving tech sector, the Phoenix Bioscience Core, Arizona State University—we’ve got some of the top minds of the country all situated within walking distance of the convention center.” It makes sense, then, that downtown Phoenix has had the buzz to become a destination where people want to come and stay.
Award-winning dining
The ever-evolving dining scene in the neighborhood surrounding the PCC includes nationally-recognized destinations like Bacanora, whose chef Rene Andrade was awarded the 2024 James Beard Award for “Best Chef: Southwest;” and the much-lauded Pizzeria Bianco. There’s even a Huss Brew Pub located right inside the PCC itself, so attendees can savor local brews while mingling at the end of a day of meetings.
Cultural excursions… just steps away
Cultural attractions within walking distance include two sports stadiums—the Footprint Center, home to the Phoenix Mercury (WNBA) and Suns (NBA); plus the Arizona Diamondbacks’ (MLB) Chase Field. Museums, including the Arizona Science Center, the Phoenix Art Museum and the Heard Museum—which celebrates indigenous artwork and history—are all within a quick stroll or a couple of light rail stops; as are theaters, including the Orpheum and Symphony Hall.
And for art lovers, the First Friday Art Walk is a monthly can’t-miss event spanning dozens of city blocks and hundreds of galleries, performance spaces, restaurants, bars, food trucks, and more.
