Jennifer Erney
Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) has named Jennifer Erney, CMP, CASE, as vice president of sales. Based in ALHI’s global sales office in Washington, D.C., Erney will assist meeting professionals, association executives, and incentive specialists in the Mid-Atlantic region who are interested in holding events at any of ALHI’s 250-plus member hotels and resorts worldwide. Prior to joining ALHI, Erney was director of global accounts — meetings & events, for Fairmont Raffles Hotels International, which is now part of AccorHotels.

Last week, Erney was named Supplier of the Year at the PCMA Education Foundation’s Visionary Awards, celebrating inspirational leaders in business events.

Keith Barr
InterContinental Hotels Group has announced that Richard Solomons has decided to retire from IHG and his role as CEO, with former head of Australasia and current chief commercial officer, Keith Barr, succeeding him. Solomons will step down as CEO on June 30 and retire from IHG on Aug. 30. Barr, who has spent 17 years at IHG, will take up his new position on July 1.

Federico Gonzalez-Tejera
Federico Gonzalez-Tejera succeeds Wolfgang M. Neumann as president and CEO of Rezidor Hotel Group, headquartered in Brussels. He has resigned as global chief executive officer of Carlson Hotels Group. The Rezidor Hotel Group and Carlson Hotels Inc. also announced the creation of a global steering committee to provide strategic direction to both companies to leverage their partnership.

Marissa Werner, Lauren Hyps, and Michelle Haider
VISIT Milwaukee has promoted Marissa Werner to senior sports & entertainment sales manager, Lauren Hyps to senior convention sales manager, and Michelle Haider to senior meeting & event services manager. Werner has been with VISIT Milwaukee since 2011, Hyps joined the CVB team in 2008, and Haider was first hired in 2011.
