Shannon Martinez
The San Diego Convention Center announces the promotion of Shannon Martinez to chief financial officer. A native San Diegan, Martinez began her career in public accounting and has held leadership positions, including chief financial officer, across multiple industries. She previously served as the facility’s controller and will now provide executive leadership regarding financial operations and serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and board of directors.

The Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau has elected three new board members. The newly elected members are Shannon Frost, director of marketing operations, special events, and special projects for the city of Hartford, Jeff Pugliese, director of community relations at Eversource Energy, and Brian Shactman, an award-winning Connecticut-based broadcaster at Audacy and WFSB-TV 3.
