Vicky Betzig
Vicky Betzig, CMP, has relaunched Meetings Industry Consulting (MIC), the company she founded in 2005, with a new focus on training, consulting, and event management. She is a former director of meetings & events for PCMA, and most recently was director of client services at Visit Anaheim.

Michele Vennard
Michele Vennard has announced she will be exiting her role as president and CEO of the Albany County Convention and Visitors Bureau in late spring 2018. She has spent more than 30 years in New York’s travel and tourism industry. She first joined the Albany County Convention and Visitors Bureau in 1981 when she was appointed its first tourism director.

Bob Korin
Teneo Hospitality Group has appointed Bob Korin as director of sales. He will join the company’s Northeast team. Korin has spent the majority of his career with Marriott International, where he held several leadership positions in conference center management, national sales, and strategic account management. Most recently, he spent nine years as director of national accounts for Hilton Hawaii.

Tori Barnes and Nan Marchand Beauvois
The U.S. Travel Association has hired Tori Barnes to fill the new position of senior vice president, government relations. In her new role, Barnes will lead the U.S. Travel government relations team’s efforts to upgrade the country’s air travel infrastructure and promote policies that balance security and travel facilitation, among other issues. Barnes previously was executive director of federal affairs at General Motors Company, where she worked since 2003.

The U.S. Travel Association has also promoted Nan Marchand Beauvois from vice president to senior vice president, national councils and general manager, ESTO. Marchand Beauvois joined U.S. Travel as a senior director of national councils in February 2011.
