Hunt’s consulting company specializes in sustainability advice for the hospitality, events, tourism, and venue industries. An educator, she has a Ph.D. in parks, recreation, and tourism with an emphasis in sustainable events, venues, and tourism from the University of Utah. Hunt previously worked in the events industry in Los Angeles and was managing director/events director for The International Ecotourism Society.
About 10 years ago, sustainability was seen as a sexy trend, everyone wanted in on it. Then slowly, people started to focus on other needs such as good Wi-Fi and security. My goal is to bring sexy back and to broaden perspectives of sustainability to not just include the environmental, ‘green’ stuff but also the well-being of our people.”
