Meeting in Indy Just Keeps Getting Better

A Sponsored Message from Visit Indy

Indy is growing more popular with planners every day—and for good reason. New hotel options, substantial updates within the convention center complex and experiential entertainment downtown make this dynamic capital city (once named by USA Today as the number one convention city in the country) a top choice when planning an event.

Convention Center and Hotel Upgrades

The Indiana Convention Center (ICC) offers the most connected meeting setup in America—and it’s getting even better. Hilton’s new meeting-centric brand, Signia, is slated to open in 2023, offering 42 stories, 814 rooms and a top-level bar with skyline views. Not to mention 130,000 square feet of flexible space, including a new 50,000-square-foot ballroom that will connect the hotel to ICC. Add to that another soon-to-open 600-room Hilton property, and Indy will boast 14 hotels and more than 6,100 rooms all connected by enclosed skywalks to the convention center—that’s more than any other U.S. city.

There are an additional 1,800 new hotel rooms in the pipeline throughout greater downtown Indianapolis—putting more than 10,000 rooms in walking distance of the ICC. One premier choice will be the 146-room boutique Bottleworks Hotel, which will occupy the top two floors of a historic, Art Deco landmark building (once the largest Coca-Cola bottling plant in the world) in Indy’s new Bottleworks District. Anticipated to open in the fall of 2020, the hotel will also include The Garage marketplace, which will stock local craft food and beverages.

A Dazzling Downtown Experience

Attendees can now enjoy a year-round, nightly light and audio show on Monument Circle, a local landmark sitting at the heart of the city. Indy’s patriotism is on full display during the show and is further demonstrated by the fact the city has more monuments and memorials honoring veterans than any other place outside of Washington, DC. The state-of-the-art light, sound and projection technology at Monument Circle can also be rented for events, giving you even more creative options to deliver a uniquely entertaining experience for your group.
