Fueling the Future: Destinations International Needs Your Opinion

Author: David McMillin

As the events industry continues to evolve, Destinations International wants to hear from decision-makers like you to understand what you consider when choosing a host destination.

When Destinations International unveiled its new brand last year, the organization’s announcement was about more than a name or a logo. Part of the change involved a focus on conducting more in-depth research to help destination marketing professionals gain insights into the most pressing issues facing the travel industry. The PCMA Education Foundation helped launch one of the first waves of new research with a grant to study the impact of how controversial legislation impacted events and conferences. The research highlighted how some meeting organizers were pulling out of certain cities and states with legislation that might upset their attendees, exhibitors, and speakers.

Now, Destinations International is continuing to cement its position as a research-focused organization with a third phase of the same study, and the organization is inviting all meeting and event professionals to participate. Click here to share your thoughts on the most pressing issues you’re facing and what factors help or hurt a city’s candidacy to welcome your audience.
