As event organizers turn up the volume on experience design in The Rock and Roll Capital of the World, you can be part of the noise with two days of complimentary education. Here’s what’s in store for the live-streamed portion of the program.

As the PCMA community prepares for four days of learning, networking, and celebrating at the 2018 Education Conference, the organization is gearing up for an action-packed online program, too. From June 11–12, PCMA’s Digital Experience Institute will broadcast 11 sessions, seven live interview segments, and two virtual happy hours during Education Conference LIVE. The live stream continues PCMA’s tradition of extending education to a remote audience.

Leslie Winger, director of the Digital Experience Institute, highlighted a special addition to the interactive component. “This year, our hybrid participants will see some new names and faces,” Winger said. “We have recruited some DES graduates to act as our chat moderators for the sessions.”

In addition to connecting with those online moderators, remote participants will discover the Education Conference experience through the eyes and ears of Jacky Herrera, an experienced on-air television personality who will conduct exclusive interviews with presenters and PCMA leadership. One of the main components of the live-stream will highlight PCMA’s new Ascent program with five sessions from the new Ascent Studio. “After launching the CEO Promise on May 14, the Ascent sessions will offer valuable insights into what’s next and how the education will empower more inclusive work cultures and diverse events,” said Jennifer Kingen Kush, DES, vice president and executive director, Digital Experience Institute.

Other highlights of the broadcast will include Denise Lee Yohn’s opening session on building a rock-star brand, Peter Sheahan’s keynote address on navigating disruption, and Phil Hansen’s speech on using limitations to create opportunities. The entire program is free, thanks to the support of New Orleans & Company and the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Register here to be part of the online action and earn clock hours toward your continuing education.
