Brits Say ‘G’day!’ to Business Events Down Under

Have You Heard?

The first scheduled nonstop flight between Australia and the UK landed at London’s Heathrow airport this past Sunday (25th March). Taking a little more than 17 hours from Perth in Western Australia, the Quantas flight travelled 9,009 miles (14,498km). When first flown in 1947, the Australia–UK ‘Kangaroo Route’ took four days and seven stops.

Four pilots were on board a new-generation ‘Dreamliner’ plane for the inaugural marathon flight. The plane has six bunk beds for crew members to rest — and a specially created menu designed to hydrate travellers  — during the flight.

Might the new direct flight encourage more European event strategists to say ‘No worries!’ to business event and incentive trips Down Under?
