One of the largest convention centers in the United States—Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC)—has been upgraded in big ways, giving you more space and possibilities than ever before. From outdoor event spaces to more flexible layouts to one of the largest contiguous exhibit halls in the country, here’s a look at the more than four million square feet of total space waiting for you on the GWCC campus.
A Spacious Home for Dynamic Large Events
One of the most exciting trends in event planning is experience design—creating an intentional, immersive event experience that caters to the wants and needs of your audience. And big-impact moments often require big spaces. Thankfully, expansions to the GWCC—including a new 100,000-square-foot connection between major Exhibit Halls B and C (now Exhibit Hall BC)—have increased the size of its contiguous exhibit space to 1.1 million square feet. Want a climbing wall at your convention? A mariachi band and dance lessons at your meet and greet? With room to spare, the center can accommodate whatever event idea you can dream up.
Flexibility to Customize Your Event
GWCC’s three interconnected buildings offer a variety of flexible meeting spaces, including 12 exhibit halls, two ballrooms, three fixed-seat auditoriums and 98 meeting rooms. In between events, attendees will appreciate the fun and flexibility of Social Table, a food and beverage experience designed to bring the unique look and feel of each event to life—with concepts, service and local flavors that change depending on the spirit of the event. Special features of the dining experience include a 35-seat bar, a build-your-own salad bar and a “Grab and Go” station.
If you want to add outdoor activities to the agenda, GWCC offers three beautifully landscaped outdoor plazas on campus. After hours, these natural spaces are the perfect place to host a mixer under the stars.
Amazing Neighborhood Attractions
Whether attendees want to see the city or just take a walk outside, green spaces and Atlanta landmarks exist right outside the convention center’s doors on the larger GWCC campus. Enjoy the 22-acre greenspace of neighboring Centennial Olympic Park or take in the excitement of a game at the nearby Mercedes-Benz Stadium (home to the NFL Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United FC, Atlanta’s Major League Soccer team). From the campus, you’re also just a short walk away from Atlanta’s downtown Convention & Entertainment District.
