BoE 2025 Speaker Expression of Interest Form

Thank you for your interest in becoming a speaker or facilitator for The Business of Events 2025.

We are currently seeking speakers for PCMA Labs on Day 2 of our programme. Our Plenary and Breakout Sessions have already reached the final stages of curation. To be considered, your session must align with one of the six PCMA Lab Categories:

  • Technology: Beyond AI. Delve into cutting-edge and emerging technologies that leverage data to redefine participant journeys.
  • Creativity: The differentiator. Uncover the elements that distinguish exceptional events, with a focus on advancing experience design and impactful lead generation.
  • Humanity: Culture shapes success. Explore how people and organisational dynamics influence outcomes, setting the course for the future of work.
  • Strategy: Stay ahead. Cultivate strategic thinking to enhance resource gathering, drive innovation, and fuel sustainable growth.
  • Sustainability: Taking action. Explore tangible strategies to weave sustainability into the fabric of events.
  • Self-Leadership: Thrive under pressure. Embrace self-leadership and well-being practices that empower you to excel in both personal and professional realms.

The 2025 Content Advisory Committee will review all submissions, and sessions receiving the highest votes will be included in the programme. We will notify you upon selection or if further details are needed regarding your session. All applicants whose submissions are not selected will be informed prior to the programme’s release.

Useful Information:

  • Event Theme: Master. Mind.
  • Lab Duration: Each lab session may last up to 90 minutes.
  • Registration: Participants are not required to register for the labs.
  • Event Spaces: Detailed information regarding event spaces and rooms for the labs will be provided closer to the vent date.

For a smooth process, we'd like to share our speaker criteria:



Relevance to the Event: Your content should resonate with our event's theme.

Value-Driven Presentation: We're all about offering valuable insights. Kindly avoid product placements or promotions.

Engagement Matters: Please share a sample video so we can experience your prowess in engaging an audience.



Qualifications and Expertise:

  1. Speakers must demonstrate proven expertise and relevant experience in their field.
  2. Submission of a biography, previous speaking engagements, and qualifications may be required for vetting.

Non-Promotional Nature: Presentations must not serve as a sales pitch for products or services. Any promotional content is strictly prohibited unless explicitly agreed upon in advance.

Speakers Fees and other expenses: Please note that the speaking/ facilitation opportunity at this event is a volunteer-based arrangement. This means that PCMA APAC does not cover speaker fees, registration fees, travel or accommodation expenses.

Intellectual Property Rights: PCMA retains any rights to use or distribute session recordings or materials; this should be explicitly stated.

Photography and Recording: Sessions may be photographed, filmed, or recorded, and speakers consent to the use of these materials by the organisers for promotional and other purposes.

Confidentiality and Data Protection: Speakers must respect any confidential information shared during the event and comply with relevant data protection regulations when interacting with attendees.

Code of Conduct and Professional Behaviour: All speakers must adhere to the event’s code of conduct, ensuring professional and respectful behaviour towards attendees, organisers, and fellow speakers.
